An Evening with Chris Bohjalian and Stephen Kiernan - July 12

The Bookcase is thrilled to invite you to a special evening with Chris Bohjalian and Stephen Kiernan on July 12 at 6:30 p.m. Chris is back in Wayzata to promote his new book, The Light in the Ruins, and he is bringing his good friend, author Stephen Kiernan, who has a new thriller out called The Curiosity. Both books would make perfect additions to your summer reading list!

A wine and hors d'oeuvres reception with the authors will begin at 6:30 and the book talk will start at 7:00 p.m.

We will also be raffling off some great prizes to customers who purchase either book at The Bookcase.

eBook Purchases

We are excited to now be offering eBooks on our web site! Please note, however, that eBook purchases cannot be refunded, as we have no way to retrieve the file you downloaded from your computer. We will do our absolute best to assist you should you have technical problems getting your purchased eBook to work on your electronic reading device, but it's important to note that all eBook sales are final.

The Bookcase offers a variety of services for schools and educators throughout our area:

Educator Discount: We offer a discount to educators on materials related to their work in the classroom. The discount is usually 25%, although it's important to note that in some cases it's not as high, depending on what sort of arrangement we can work out on our end with the publisher. Some educational publishers do not offer a trade discount to booksellers. Proof of employment (a school ID badge is okay) may be required.

Bulk Ordering Discounts: Schools who need multiple copies of a book, either for classroom use or for teacher professional development, will receive a discount. Terms will differ with each order. Please contact Charlie Leonard for more information or to request a specific title.

Free Delivery: In many cases, we can offer fast, free, and personal delivery to schools in the Twin Cities metro area. A minimum purchase may apply.

School Book Fairs: Tired of Scholastic? Is your school wanting a more personalized, professional book fair with a better selection of titles? We have been growing our book fair service over the past three years, and now offer a fully customizable book fair experience for your school's fundraiser. Many schools who work with us find that their "earnings" through a Bookcase book fair are greater than their earnings through Scholastic book fairs.

On-Site Book Fairs: You've probably heard about "shopping days" that school can have at other book stores in the area. Well, we do that too! This is an easy way for your school to earn money. Simply work with The Bookcase to designate a day or night when your school's parents can come and shop in our store, promote it to your students and their families, and sit back and let us do all the work. It couldn't be easier!
