The Bookcase is pleased to welcome retired Wayzata High School English teacher Philip A. Fraser to our store on Sunday, March 7 at 2:00.Mr. Fraser recently published his memoir, and will be on hand that day to do a short reading, answer questions, and sign copies of the book.As a member of what's known as the greatest generation, Philip A. Fraser served in World War II for more than three years. After rigorous training in Australia, his Army unit, the 32nd Infantry Division, moved into combat in New Guinea, where Fraser worked as a radio relay. When his service ended in 1945, Fraser returned to his home state of Wisconsin. Here he met his wife Marion and attended college, studying English education. A dedicated soldier, teacher, and family man, Phil Fraser shares the laughs and lessons of his life.
